LOCATION BANYOLES:

Banyoles is the capital of the Pla de l'Estany. This town has a great ecological, cultural and historical. Banyoles has approximately 20.000 habitants. It is located 175 meters above sea level and has an area of ​​11 km². It is surrounded by two municipalities, Porqueres and Fontcoberta.

The town of Banyoles has as main attractions: the lake, the historic center, the Darder Museum, the Archaeological Museum and others.

THE LAKE OF BANYOLES:

The Lake Banyoles is the first largest natural lake in Catalonia. It measures approximately 2,150 m long and 775 m maximum width. The lake is about 62 meters deep.

During the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona, ​​Banyoles conducted the world of rowing competition.

THE DARDER MUSEUM:

Darder Museum was opened in 1916, he is the second oldest museum in the region.
